Typecut ("we", "us") provides an AI-assisted auto video editing service. While using our Service, we may collect personally identifiable information ("Personal Data") that can be used to contact or identify you. This may include:

• Account details such as name, email address, and authentication identifiers
• Billing-related information processed by our payment partner (for example Paddle), such as country, tax information, and transaction references—we do not store full payment card numbers
• Support communications you send to typecuthq@gmail.com
• Workspace preferences, plan/credit balances, and similar account settings

We may collect information that your browser or device sends when you visit or use the Service ("Usage Data").

Usage Data may include IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, date and time of visits, time spent on pages, referring URLs, unique device identifiers, and diagnostic logs.

When you use the product, we may also log product events needed to operate the Service—for example upload starts, transcription or export job status, credit consumption, and error reports. These logs help us run jobs reliably, prevent abuse, and improve performance.

To provide auto editing, we process Customer Content you upload or create in the product. This is the core of our Service and may include:

• Video and audio files you upload (for example talking-head or screen recordings)
• Speech-to-text transcripts, caption text, timing data, and edit decisions
• Brand kit assets (logos, colors, fonts, caption styles) and project settings
• B-roll, stickers, music, or other media you add to a project
• Exported or rendered output files associated with your projects

We use uploaded media and derived data to generate captions, run auto-edit pipelines, power the editor, render exports you request, provide support when you ask us to investigate a job, and maintain security and reliability of the Service.

We do not sell your videos. We do not use your Customer Content to train public generative models that create videos for other customers, unless we clearly disclose a separate opt-in program in the future.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and consents needed to upload footage that includes other people, clients, or confidential material.

We may use your email address to send transactional messages (account, billing, security, and job-related notices). With your consent or where otherwise permitted by law, we may also send product updates or marketing messages. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting typecuthq@gmail.com.

Cookies are small data files that may include an anonymous unique identifier. We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, analytics, and security. You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies, but some parts of the Service may not function correctly without them.

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Personal Data and Customer Content. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Access to customer media and account data is limited to personnel and subprocessors who need it to operate the Service (for example cloud storage, transcription, rendering, and payment providers).

We retain account data for as long as your account remains active and as needed for billing, security, and legal compliance.

Project media, transcripts, and exports are retained while your account is active so you can reopen and export projects, subject to storage and plan limits. After account deletion or prolonged inactivity, we delete or anonymize Customer Content within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records (for example invoices or dispute-related logs).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page unless a later effective date is stated.

Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acknowledgment of the updated Privacy Policy. For material changes, we may also notify you by email or in-product notice.

If you connect YouTube, our Service uses YouTube API Services. By using YouTube integration features, you acknowledge the following:

When you grant access to Google user data via Google APIs (including YouTube API Services), our use of that data is limited to the practices in this Privacy Policy and must comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

Internal access: only authorized personnel access YouTube-connected data for support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and account assistance.

External sharing: we do not sell YouTube user data. We share it only with subprocessors needed to operate the integration, when required by law, or with your direction (for example publishing a video you choose to upload).

YouTube-connected tokens and related data are stored while the connection remains active. To remove stored YouTube data from our Service, disconnect YouTube in the product and/or contact typecuthq@gmail.com.

You can revoke access at any time in Google's security settings (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). After revocation, publishing features that depend on YouTube will stop working until you reconnect.

We may collect and process YouTube-related data such as:

• OAuth tokens and channel identifiers needed to maintain the connection
• Basic channel metadata shown in the product
• Metadata for videos you choose to upload or manage through the integration

Typecut uses automated speech recognition and related AI tooling to caption and help edit footage you upload. Captions projects use your uploaded video audio and speech-to-text transcription; they are not voice cloning.

Typecut does not currently offer voice cloning or generative text-to-speech narration features. Older references to voice cloning on this site or in prior product versions are historical.

Transcription and auto-edit processing may be performed using subprocessors (for example speech-to-text and cloud infrastructure providers) under contractual data-protection terms appropriate to their role.
